You posed the question:

pineinthegrass wrote: And if you opposed Iraq, you should also oppose Obama's Syria action.

...And I responded...

This is a response...

At this point, I'm not sure either case has been proven better than the other.

And if you opposed Iraq, you should also oppose Obama's Syria action.

At least to seem consistent.

I DO oppose the Syria action....

And this is either your self centered reply, or your usual thrown-in insult...

This is s thread on Syria and whether or not we should be starting a war there.

I think that if such a war started and we had some kind of "National Enemy", like Sadam and his army, that LJ would still consider the American Political party that is 99.999% like hers to be the real enemy. That is why when discussing what collective national action we should take, she is not staying on topic and still attacking Republican types.

Since LJ has made it clear at this point that she is opposed to Obama's current attack desires in Syria, for this topic, Obama is the bad guy, but it is against the rules to say so.

LJ if you think this action is wrong, please stay focused on the lives that will be lost and the economy that will be ruined. It is ok to be straight forward and say clearly over and over that Obama is in the wrong here. We should not attack other nations and people outside of our country willy nilly. This topic has so much less to do with Teabaggers, Randroids and Republicans and so much more with people that cannot get off this two party "war". Your parties are almost identical and so much more different than any group controlling Syria. Our two maniacal parties should align for domestic peace this one and people should leave the stupid party crap, which never helps anything, in the schoolyard where it belongs.

That being said, you got LJ pegged. I don't even think she is a real person, I literally think she is some kind of govt bot sent into message boards to stir the pot by using no known logic and massive qtys of insults. I think she is designed to flush out extremists. It would not be hard to post a few social media posts and pics of a someone at some gigs. I don't believe she exists anymore. It is just so fun to respond to her ridiculous posts that barely address topics sideways. But always on topic with stirring the pot to create artificial party tension.

In regards to any govt agenda. There are chips in live, you must decide what to cash them in on, you cannot always get more. As Obama and his followers on this topic decide to cash in chips to get their way and attack people in Syria, they will likely have to give up on something else. My guess is that if we go into Syria, that we will be involved there for about a decade, we will leave the country in a questionable state, we will have sacrificed any possibility of an economic recovery, thousands of Americans will die, hundreds of thousands of Syrians will die, likely many in the groups we are claiming to save. The groups we are claiming to save will eventually turn on us and join forces with a couple of their neighbors to make a coalition against us. Just like with all our domestic policy messes, the conceptual bleeding hearts will get their way and create real bleeding hearts. Then again, Obama levered our attention on other things and the economic ruin of the last war to trick people into the "ACA," so given this, Syria could be used to distract us....no one seems to be talking about the other little stuff, they are all focused on coming up with reasons for the next fun war.

No More Obama Bush War.
We cannot afford it (money and lives), we could not afford the last ones).
Speak out and stop the mess. Call your govt reps.

One congressman totaled up the calls he had received about Syria, 400+ against, 2 supported it.
