Prediction: The min wage will go up and ACA is design

I predict that the min wage will be increased in the next few years, my guess is by about 33%.

If people were just making it, or not, on their old pay for 40 hours, when many jobs get reduced to 29.5 hours because that is what the ACA is encouraging employers to do to avoid increased health care expenses, people will need more money.

My guess is 33% because 40/30 is 1.333. In order to keep the same minimal lifestyle that many hourly workers have, they will need a 33% increase in pay.

In order to finance this employers will fire the least skilled and productive and they can just go on some kind of public assistance. You know, the thing we were trying to reduce with the ACA.

I predict the poor are going to be screwed out of both their jobs and the last bit of choice from this law. The good thing is that most here are not poor, we are middle class or higher and will benefit from the resources that are now out of the reach of the poor.

There is always talk about strengthening the middle class, well it rarely comes at the expense of the rich....

Disagree. Unless the Dems take back the House.
The Republicans would never agree to raise the minimum wage. I do think certain states and cities will raise it.

Even if I am wrong, which really I just predict another weapon in a wage fixing war, you cannot have that much disparity in min wages or people will really start moving, which will then be solved with min wages leveling out.

There is even a market for the minimum wage between states and cities. I also bet that as more and more people get poor from a manipulated economy they will still turn to those that manipulated and the democratic party will become more left and larger as it sucks up all the new poor over time.

I think allowing the ACA to move forward after inventing it has spelled doom for the Republican party. They cannot defend economic freedom anymore and thus there are no tools to stop the collective running of just about everything in time. We have such great technology now, it wont even take much time.

In time the min wage will be measured in food and housing vouchers.....
