You used to be much more witty with your replies, just mailing it in on this dreary morning?

Just a couple comments adjacent to what VL said...VL's opinions are not facts (as he stated)...I have to keep repeating this. I haven't fed a troll in a long time and feel like jumping in here.

Remembering is a darn sight different than forgiving--two different actions--that's a fact.

This is an opinion: In my view, the reason the Pearl Harbor vets wanted us to never forget was 'cuz they knew it would happen again and they were trying to avoid that occurrence--they were there and saw the devastation.

This, too is an opinion: As with most things...the ones that were there became scarce and Americans did indeed "forget"...and then 9/11 happened. Never forget, always remember...

This is a fact: An interesting statistic about 9/11--anyone who is 16 or under probably doesn't remember and will know about it by going to a museum--it is history to them.

This is a fact: I've been to other countries and not all people all over the world view the U.S. as an arrogant bully.

This is a fact: And the American military industrial complex follows orders...if the President or Congress sends us to war or sends us into a "conflict"...we go...we do not arbitrarily decide that someone in South American needs to be bombed so we can keep our aim true or that someone in the Middle East torqued off the First Lady and needs to be put in their place, though I'd bet there are some out there that would do just that if there weren't things in place to prevent it.

I will never forget...my children will never forget...and their children will know about one of the most devastating days in American History--the difference between 9/11 and Pearl Harbor or the Civil War or the Revolutionary War is that me and my children were alive to witness it and remember the feelings from that day...the helplessness, the hopelessness, the disbelief--and as time went on, the hope and the rebuilding.

Carry on...

Back on topic, per the Twitchy Team, there are many more motorcyclists in Washington today than attending Muslims at their demonstration.

USA! USA! USA!

What is more American than introducing Muslims to the smell of thousands of hogs?
