Guess what? Everyone's got their own blog on their very own Profile Pages! 
You can post away to your heart's content there, it kinda makes the personal subforums obsolete actually. Click My Profile under the Community button on the menu at the top and it takes you to your very own page that you can play with.
Maybe you can get some help for those tiny dilapidateddeck rails.

When I can spend some more time on it and start setting up Groups, those are another level of separate participation as well. Groups can be Public or Private, and Group posts can be public or private. Fun stuff!

I'm still reading through the 600+ page manual for the new system, but from what I understand yes you can moderate your own Profile Page however you like - if you want to delete comments, or make it so no one can comment on your posts even, you can totally do that. I believe you can even set the viewing level for your posts to other members you've made Connections with, Friends of Connections, Public, or Private (need to confirm that part yet).
