What do you know about Journey Church?

I do not know anyone personally that goes but have met several people that attend and they rave about it.

I hope they get the permit thing straightened out so that everyone can move on.

I know that they do a lot for many of the kids/teens in the community.

My only dealings with them have been eating at the Angry Llama and attending one of their outdoor movie nights.

They've always been very friendly and have never brought up religion or pushed any agenda. I haven't read the Flume article yet, but will soon.

I'm surprised how fast they've grown and how much money they seem to have based on all the properties they've purchased. I don't know what they've done to accomplish it in such a short time.

Maybe they have a bunch of those L. Ron Hubbard electropsychometers buried in a cave somewhere? lol

I know a few people that attend their church. They love it.

They have several businesses that fund the ministry. Check out their website

Here is an old article how they got their start

This is the most interesting website and the one I remember reading a few years ago.

If you decide to go, please let us know your own impressions. They certainly seem to have a lot of energy, huh?! and while the chair isn't my most favorite thing in the whole world, I can't help but appreciate their enthusiastic spirit, so hope you'll try it out and come away pleased. I haven't heard anything negative, in fact everybody seems to think they're great, very inspiring!

I agree with the chair but it isn't something I just hate either. Kind of fun to drive past it a few times a week.
It is interesting to me that they start businesses to fund the ministry. I sort of like that. I guess my impressions to date have been to good to be true. That is the cynic in me. Hopefully we can get over there real soon and give it a try. I will let everyone know our thoughts.
