33%? In academic circles that's not even an F-, it's more like an Incomplete.

Get ready for worse and substandard, it's the new normal...

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Too many people logging on to sign up bunged up the system? That must mean nobody wants it.

Or maybe the folks who were put in charge of setting up the web sites didn't know what they were doing to begin with. I suspect the later.

I was a programmer who worked as a contractor for the federal government (Energy Department) for 15 years, I was involved in a countywide project that was designed to have all federal agencies up and running the Oracle Corp suite of projects (financial, projects, inventory etc).

The time frame was 10 years. It was 12 years and still not finished when I left. These was internal systems, for use of certain federal employees only.

The ACA is a on line systems is for millions of citizen users.

In the case of ACA they are trying to hook up 100's of different existing databases together, both state and federal data and do that in 3 years. Plus having to build front ends (the software the end user sees).

Even the best private software design firms could not have finished a project this large in 3 years.

Someone should have told the administration it couldn't be done in the time frame allotted.

Waiting for Armageddon since 33 AD

I think the best solution to the ACA at this point is to just ignore it. We as citizens don't have a say in it. Those of us that are not desperate will have no direct interaction with it, we pay our own way for health care, perhaps insuring if we feel we need to. We may have to fund it with our taxes, but we have no say in those either.

I am starting to feel like there is nothing to talk about. Kinda like talking about something going on in Italian parliament. We as US citizens likely have more influence over them, than our own overseers.

IF you ignore....you will be fined via IRS action.....1040 revised. IF you do not pay ......jail is in the future for a tax cheat.......that is the new law.

What?! Do you vote in every election? Do you call, email, and/or write your representatives? WE DO HAVE A SAY!! Choosing not to confront your elected representatives when they support things you don't want amounts to total surrender. Too many citizens are willing to let the giant hog that is the ever growing Federal Gubment continue to take away our freedoms and surrender their hard earned wealth.

As citizens we still have rights (until Barry fixes that "problem") and it's our prerogative to speak up as citizens and remind our elected representatives that they are elected to do our bidding, not the other way around. It takes effort on our part, if you can't be bothered to object then you are doomed to accept whatever those in power want to do.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

:yeahthat: As soon as we just start laying down and swallowing what they force-feed us, the sooner we give up on this great country.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
