Apparently she went to John McCain's seminar on what to do when you need to keep awake while on official business. She was there officially wasn't she?

Nice deflection though, very clever.

You deflected first by bringing background checks into an aca cost debate. Just sayin.

Here's another question.. what's to stop the government in a few year to start mandating businesses with 25 employees or more to provide insurance to employees? Is there anything in this law that guarantees smaller businesses won't get bent over WHEN the numbers fail to keep this turd rolling?

Curious why you don't think McCain's use of his smart phone wasn't equally egregious as Hudak's.....and what does Hudak and her cell phone have to do with the question I asked PS? Nothing.

Sorry, no more freeloading. I'm sick of paying for you and you're white trash families healthcare. Imagine how much auto insurance would cost if we didn't require everyone on the road to have it?

archer, start a John McCain recall if it bothers you, we don't live in his state. Hudak represents district 19 in Colorado. You brought up the threaten a gun control measure to force your beliefs. Go for it. Maybe you weren't aware of the two previous successful recalls, and another is underway. When Hudak loses the seat so does the Democratic control. Please keep trying to force gun control issues on citizens that aren't part of the crime problem, maybe we can get all the pompous a-holes thrown out.
Big Dookie, lets see were that gets you pinhead. This is a local news story.

archer wrote: Tell me PS, since the majority of the American people favor increased background checks for gun ownership would you be OK with the Democrats in the Senate refusing to bring up a bill to fund the government till increased background checks are attached to it?

Whether the majority favor infringing on inalienable rights doesn't matter. If the Senate wishes to add or strip language from a spending bill which originates in the House is up to them. Whether they hold up the CR because of the (un)Affordable Care Act or some silly bit of legislation which will make people feel better is irrelevant to our discussion here. The Democrats could pass any of the plethora of bills sent to them by the House, the President could sign it, and the government would be funded by a CR while the battle, which the people have asked be fought in the legislature, over the (un)Affordable Care Act wages on.

The majority of the people do not now, nor have they ever, supported or approved of the (un)Affordable Care Act. Obama has made numerous appeals, when it suits him, based on what the majority wants. When the majority doesn't want what he wants, then the "progressives" who are always talking about our "democracy" all of a sudden are not interested in what the majority wants or doesn't want. All they care about then is (literally in this instance) putting up road blocks until they get their way.

Imagine how much auto insurance would cost if it covered pre-existing conditions. Am I wrong to assume it would skyrocket? In that case, it wouldn't be necessary to drive carefully or to even lock your doors.

archer wrote: Where was that outrage when insurance companies were raising premiums 40%/year .....I don't remember any Republicans complaining about what those hikes were doing to women, and the self employed, or the middle-class. But now that you can hang it on the Democrats you suddenly are concerned? BS. Like ever damn year for decades health insurance costs are going up.....what has changed is lower income people CAN get health insurance with financial help, and no one can be turned down, or cancelled for health reasons.

.....that 40% number is an average taken from my health insuramce premiums from the early 2000s....anecdotal, yes, just like yours.

So when Obama said the ACA would save the average family $2500 a year, was that a lie or was he clueless? I only see two options here for his AFFORDABLE care act.

With the subsidies, which the average family will qualify for, do you actually KNOW that they wont save 2500/year?

Those subsidies are tax breaks that only a handful will fall into. If you are self employed. You will still get nailed
