"Once again, we've reached a government shutdown over irresponsible government spending. Once more, the media are proclaiming the world is coming to an end and blaming conservative Republicans for everything. They are working hand in glove with the Never Enough Government lobby that dominates Washington, without a shred of shame.
Anchors and editors continue to insist that if the GOP were smart, it would bow to "conventional wisdom" and put its foot on the fiscal accelerator. That's what this is about. The elites fully expected Republicans "led" by McConnell and Boehner to fold and are stunned — furious, really — that they are being disobeyed.
There are new sheriffs in Washington who won't be intimidated and are willing to fight this Wild West of government excess. Their names include Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Marco Rubio and Rand Paul."...
It's pretty easy to blame the Republicans....they are, after all, responsible for most everything bad that affects the American people. I'm starting to think they really don't like people very much.
Oh....and you are mistaking vigilantes for sheriffs....not the same.
The time to draw the red line and hold it is now. Enough is enough and it's time to hold the entire body of elected officials responsible for the current state of our nation and the economy. I say we start with the frequent offenders and work our way down, Barry, Harry, and Nancy get ready to hit the road! As for the rest of the elected officials, don't get too comfortable - your time is gonna come and it will get here sooner than later.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford
Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
And don't forget McConnell, Boehner and McCain - RINOs. Dump them all.
BB, McConnell and Boehner will fold. They are the supposed negotiators, selling out the GOP. I am betting McConnell will lose his seat in the next election. He has been back pedaling now that a younger, more conservative competitor is making headway in his district.
