Sigh....... Yep lets rely on plastic atm debit cards and Gubberment run computer programs. Another glitch like obamacare computer exchanges. Can't get my food on my plastic government EBT card. This is a preview of what is coming. Pathetic really.

"People in 17 states found themselves unable to buy groceries with their food stamp debit-style cards Saturday after a routine check by vendor Xerox Corp. resulted in a system failure.

Xerox spokeswoman Karen Arena tells USA TODAY that some Electronic Benefits Transfer systems were experiencing connectivity issues after a routine test of a backup system at a location in the Midwest caused an outage at about 10 a.m. ET."

"Shoppers left carts of groceries behind at a packed Market Basket grocery store in Biddeford, Maine, because they couldn't get their benefits, said fellow shopper Barbara Colman, of Saco, Maine. The manager put up a sign saying the EBT system was not in use."

Yeah, ok Princess

Let them eat cake!

"Let them eat cake" is the of the French phrase "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche", spoken by "a great princess" upon learning that the peasants had no bread. Since brioche was made from dough enriched with butter and eggs, and those ingredients were even more scarce and more costly than dough, making brioche even more out of the reach of the peasants than bread, the quote would reflect the princess's obliviousness as to the condition of the people.

Obviously LOL you have never faced a day in your life where there was no cash to keep in your wallet, and no prospect of any coming in soon. Where paying the lights and rent and gas bill so you could keep your job was more important than eating......but you are still hungry. Be grateful for where you are in life, but don't judge those who haven't been so fortunate.

Well, again, as usual you assume alot and are 100% wrong.

Not judging anyone, just offering advice to not rely on a EBT plastic debit card without a backup plan. Assume away, you know the sayin...

If I'm wrong, then I am even more surprised at your condemnation of someone who didn't have any cash in their pocket to buy food. If we go over the cliff on the credit limit, and social security checks are delayed, I can't wait to see how you blast seniors for not having enough money to hold on till they arrive.

It is simple, ALWAYS keep "some" cash in your pocket. Is that hard to understand? Good luck to you. Cheers.
