38% of people even the ones who don't believe in ghosts wouldn't buy a haunted home but ironically haunted houses sell for about 15% above market value so somebody is willing to pay a ghost premium.
I think this would be a bad business decision. Even with the Zombie Apocalypse crowd being fairly popular now, I just don't see how you would get any meaningful Return on Investment. I don't believe that there is a year round demand for haunted houses, as a business you'd only be open for a couple of weeks a year, you'd have to hire seasonal workers and pay them. Then consider that you'd still have to pay utilities, field complaints about noise, cars coming and going from the house at all hours from the neighbors, and what about zoning issues...
Oh wait, that's not what BB was asking about, was it...
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Personally I don't believe in ghosts but I still don't think I would buy a haunted house even if I was planning to flip it and make money on it. I may not believe but I don't want to risk being wrong.

I had a gigantic Mexican meal for diner, chicken enchiladas in a really hot sauce, rice, and black beans with corn before the Broncos game tonight. Given the Broncos performance tonight and my love of Mexican food I can tell you I'm upset in more than one way. I don't believe in ghosts either but I have no doubt that something un-natural is fixing to happen shortly!
