100 years ago we were teaching Greek & Latin in high school and now we are reduced to teaching remedial English in college.

Back on topic: 20-30 years ago, Japan was the rising sun and was set to replace America but it just didn't happen. I think that China will be unable to beat us either, their population is aging, the one child policy is leaving men without wives, and that single kid is responsible to take care of not only his parents, but also grandparents. No other siblings to help and no statewide retirement setup.

You got it partially RIGHT.....Germany has risen from the ashes many times.....because (I get s..t over this from the radicals) they are genetically superior. They work smart and hard.....and WE (USA) have carried their national defense on our backs since 1945.....We are finally drawing down (we are destitute because of radical socalist programs) and some resources can be applied to our homeland as they have (as all of Europe has)......BUT, ahhhhh that BUT......Germany has a very restrictive immigration law (try to go there.....no way BD)......and they do not carry the massive underbelly of about 120 MILLION dopes (dumbed down by our egalitarian, woosie educational system). Also it is helpful to have a leader that is a Scientist and not a girlie little lawyer.
Now ChiComs simply run a police state (RED ARMY) and kill all noncompliant souls.........we are headed that way.
