Let's see. I think this went as far as the Supreme Court and they are the last say on law in this country. Are you suggesting that this law be overturned somehow?

The Dems are saying that the case is closed on the ACA mandate because the supremes said so... shouldn't the same standard go for citizens united if we are going to be consistent?

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Entirely different principles at stake Rick. Citizens United was about whether or not the Congress could infringe upon your protected independent political speech rights as an individual or member of a group. ACA, as it turns out, was about whether or not the Congress' power to levy taxes included the power to levy a tax for failing to engage in commerce of its choosing. Why Congress in allowed to levy a tax for an improper and unnecessary legislative exercise still perplexes me a little bit, but it would appear that the Supreme Court believes that Congress has an unlimited power to tax (see signature line below) the citizens of the States.

Indeed they are Walter, by amending the Constitution to give power to Congress to regulate political speech and decide who can speak, who cannot, and how much, how long or how widely they may speak to political topics. I'm quite sure Wicked is absolutely fine with chilling the speech of those that they disagree with, but one wonders how they would feel if Congress were to decide not to allow any independent speech at all, which is exactly what an amendment to the Constitution granting them power over independent speech would open the door to.
