"There’s a long-standing theory that when politicians are in trouble, the best thing for them to do is to own up to the problem. But there are cases where that’s easier said than done.
When President Clinton apologized for lying about his relationship with Monica Lewinsky, he was able to argue that it was ultimately a personal matter and successfully urged the public to move on.
But President Obama’s current problems are not of the personal nature. Instead, over a period of five years, he repeatedly told Americans that under his health care legislation, those who liked their current health care policies could keep them.
And now that millions of Americans have been receiving cancellation notices from their health insurers, the media has finally awakened to the fact that he was lying all along.
So, when Obama sat down for an interview with NBC's Chuck Todd Thursday, there wasn't much that he could say that could improve his situation. This didn't stop Obama from spinning webs.

Obama kept saying that the cancellations only affected a “small percentage” of Americans. But the Associated Press tally of current cancellations — at least 3.5 million people "...
Looking back, Obama said, “if we had to do it all over again, that there would have been a whole lot more questions that were asked in terms of how this thing is working.”
Yes that is what leaders and managers do or are supposed to do.
Or a whole lot more questions asked up front if the law was even workable being so massive and complex without any gradual transition.
(5 years of on the job training and Obama is starting to pick up a few things about leadership.)

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.
The good little water carrriers over at the major networks are only reoporting on it now because they have no other choice anylonger. Back when this nighmare of a law was being railroaded through Congress, one of the arguments that those opposed to the law illuminated was that millions would lose their current coverage and millions more, especially those employed by small businesses, would see their group plan disappear and be replaced by a monetary contribution that they could use towards a premium for an individual policy. It was also fortold that millions more would be limited to part time hours to prevent the employer from being subject to the law and having to pay anything at all. Such people were called liars by this administration and their sycophants in Congress, the media and the general population at large.
Obama didn't say, I'm sorry I lied to you, even though that is precisely what he did in full knowledge that this is what he was doing. No, he and his water carriers are now saying they are sorry that you weren't smart enough to understand what they were telling you back then and that they should have been more clear in their messaging. The problem they face is that this exact outcome was predicted and warned about prior to the law being passed and signed, which is why Obama kept having to repeat his lie about being able to keep your current insurance if you were happy with it over 40 times.
Agree with PS, the media has egg all over their face on this. Talk about a lack of objectivity and deliberately hiding information that millions of Americans could have used.

It may be better to talk about why his apology wont change the fact that we are subjected to spending our wealth against our wills.
It also will not change govt policy, the solution will be more of the same, with less and less apology as time goes on. It won't change the 10-20+ years of the program because Obamadoesn'tcare and neither do the other folks you elect (remember they were the lesser of your evils).
Remember when JFK apologized for the Bay of Pigs? How would Obama have handled it? Blame Bush? Thrown some underling under the bus? Like he did Benghazi, force everyone to clam up?
