I just have a feeling that this mess, planned or not, is starting to make govt covered health care smell better and better to a larger portion of the population.

For sure. Instead of higher premium prices every year, we will just increase taxes, maybe a value added tax to pay for it.
If Hilary has coattails in 2016, it could happen. I don't think BHO has enough political capital left.

I am starting to think the best strategy for those at play would be to throw Obama under the bus for this, since he already wedged his leg under on his own.

I think the concept is that folks will continue to think the govt is completely out of control, but the right will look a little more so, get in Hillary and the right majorities and the dam will be well cracked.

This is kind of fun to watch, like someone falling down stairs.

The majority of Americans are used to having choices of who their doctors are and what coverages they need. These are the same people who pay most of the taxes that pay for everything government decides to spend it on. Taking all their health care choices away and with a single payer system is going to leave a real bad taste in even the mouths of many liberals. I just don't think the majority will lay down and take a massive government control over our lives given the horrible track record of the past and especially thr present. If government wasgood at running anything, it would be a different story.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

In England and Canada, they have single payer, but the rich still get the choice to pay for out of the system care. They have private insurance and the people in America who still want it and can afford it will get it.
Sort of like the public/private school system, you can still pay to send your kids to good schools, but you also have to pay so that the majority of Americans can send their kids to poor schools.
