One of Dick Cheney's daughters is trying to primary a popular Republican senator in Wyoming but is behind in the polls by 50 points. In an effort to appeal to the voters of our northern neighbor, she is throwing her lesbian sister under the bus and denouncing homosexual marriage.
I wonder if Wyoming would be more likely to vote for her if she supported family over politics?
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
I believe that both sisters are blowing this way out of proportion. The sound bite I saw of Liz talking--she said she believed in traditional marriage. That, to me, doesn't mean she is denouncing homosexual marriage, just that it isn't for her. Nor does it mean she is denouncing her sister's marriage.
Unless the news skipped part of what Liz said, which is possible, I don't believe she threw her sister under the bus at all. I do believe that these sisters have probably been feuding in some way for years and this is just a way to continue that feud.
I do believe also that this is a family matter and should stay that way...it never should have been pulled into any kind of politics.
