Reeeeaaaallllyyyyy? :rofllol :rofllol :rofllol :rofllol“Congress’ job is to pass legislation,” Obama explained. “The president can veto it or he can sign it. But what George Bush has been trying to do as part of his effort to accumulate more power in the presidency. … He’s been saying, well I can basically change what Congress passed by attaching a letter saying ‘I don’t agree with this part or I don’t agree with that part, I’m going to choose to interpret it this way or that way.’”
“That’s not part of his power, but this is part of the whole theory of George Bush that he can make laws as he goes along,” he went on to say. “I disagree with that. I taught the Constitution for 10 years. I believe in the Constitution and I will obey the Constitution of the United States. We’re not going to use signing statements as a way of doing an end-run around Congress.”

Obama is a "constiitutional law professor" lol oops, is that racist to laugh? :scared:LOL wrote: It is sad that there is no efficient process to stop these abuses. Supreme court cases take years to get going and money to support.
It would be nice to have a simple statement in front of all laws and regulations declaring which section of the Constitution applies. Most of these elected Smucks are lawyers right?

It's a sad statement on our nation when we not only elect a liar, we do it twice expecting a different outcome after watching the first four years of failure. Americans need to get smarter or we'll get stuck circling the drain along with all of the failures of Barry's first and second administrations.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

You're absolutely right, it's not funny at all, it's actually kinda scary. But after I see these lies, ineptitude, and hypocrisy over and over, it's better for my health to just laugh.otisptoadwater wrote: Funny or tragic? I'm not finding much humor in the entire mess. Like whistling through the graveyard. Either we comfort ourselves with humor, or we face the reality of the situation. When there's nothing personally to be done, I'll choose humor.
