Zero Prosecutions Of Colorado Secretary Of State Scott Gessler's Alleged Non-Citizen Illegal Voters

Colorado's Republican Secretary of State Scott Gessler has been on the hunt for voter fraud in the state since he took the office in 2011, claiming non-citizens were illegally voting in Colorado elections. But a new report from The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel shows that, to date, there have been zero prosecutions of Gessler's suspects.

After originally claiming more than 16,000 non-citizens registered to vote in Colorado in 2011 and that as many as 5,000 of them had actually voted in 2010,, Gessler's office finally released the names of only 155 people who they thought of as suspects. That list was proof, Gessler said, that the Colorado voting system is vulnerable to fraud. So The Daily Sentinel investigated those cases:

A check by The Daily Sentinel with those district attorneys over the past two weeks, however, revealed that none of the referrals led to criminal prosecutions, though some still are under investigation. The analysis also showed that although some of the non-citizen voters did cast ballots in at least one election going as far back as 2004, the preponderance of the other voters actually were citizens who legally had the right to vote.

Many of those people whose citizenship and right to vote were called into question by Gessler were found to be verifiable U.S. citizens.

Dang... Don't you hate it when that happens... All wound up and no place to go....NOT A SINGLE VERIFIABLE CASE OF VOTER FRAUD IN COLORADO... (despite the two year witchhunt...) But I guess it's like that well-known TeaBagger ritual: waving stalks of garlic at the public in the middle of downtown while doing the boogaloo...It's supposed to keep elephants away...So far, it's working...And if any elephants should happen this way, they'll be ready.

Your own source admits non citizens were voting illegally. I love when your own source proves that illegal votes are being cast. Bravo!

Perhaps you can show me the part where it says anyone was charged with an offense? Perhaps it was because the precinct judges caught the error using normal means of verification--without putting the whole voting population through some cockamamie voter-prevention process?

Or perhaps you can point me to some other VERIFIABLE SOURCE that explains what happened? :rofllol lol :rofllol lol :rofllol lol :rofllol lol

As I have only kept up with a small bit of this,

Just because there have been no prosecutions on illegals voting, does not mean it is not happening. I am still though for have to prove citizenship to vote. I would be in keeping with the law that says you have to be a US citizen to vote. I have to show an ID to get my plane ticket, to write a check, etc, so I have no problem with having to show an official ID to vote. I am also a realist, and believe this will never happen.

Per a Denver Post tweet today, the Arapahoe County DA has charged four with voter fraud. We will see if any of these do time for cheating.

Gee, since the point of the article was that the wildly stupid charges of the Sec of State, Scott Gessler, accused some 16,000 people of illegally voting, and NO ONE THAT WAS CHARGED WAS CONVICTED, you think the revelation (by an unsubstantiated "tweet" on the Denver Post) that an Arapahoe County DA has "charged four with voter fraud" is worth rolling over for?

:rofllol lol

Let me know when you have something to post that didn't come from the fact-free, source-free echo-chamber, Fred.

Westword this week: Four have been charged, one was a Dem party operative and two were non-citizens who tried to vote. And just because they haven't been prosecuted is just you parsing words. You know cases take a while to develop.

Yeah, I'm sure the other 16,000 are breathing easier today too...

You let me know when it happens...I'm sure you'll have a LINK to a SOURCE that has all the FACTS about it...

..."But New York City’s watchdog Department of Investigations has just provided the latest evidence of how easy it is to commit voter fraud that is almost undetectable. DOI undercover agents showed up at 63 polling places last fall and pretended to be voters who should have been turned away by election officials; the agents assumed the names of individuals who had died or moved out of town, or who were sitting in jail. In 61 instances, or 97 percent of the time, the testers were allowed to vote. Those who did vote cast only a write-in vote for a “John Test” so as to not affect the outcome of any contest. DOI published its findings two weeks ago in a searing 70-page report accusing the city’s Board of Elections of incompetence, waste, nepotism, and lax procedures.

The Board of Elections, which has a $750 million annual budget "...
