OK just another list, but it's interesting since it's from msn.com and we know they are not biased ...

The 5 best run states according to msn.com ...

#5 best run state Utah. Governor Gary Richard Herbert. Republican.

#4 best Nebraska. Governor Dave Heineman. Republican.

#3 best Iowa. Governor Terry E. Branstad. Republican.

# 2 best Wyoming. Governor Matthew Mead. Republican.

And the #1 best run state according to msn... North Dakota. Governor Jack Dalrymple. Republican.



Now the 5 worst run states per msn.com ...

# 5 worst Nevada. Governor Brian Sandoval. Republican.

#4 worst Rhode Island. Governor Lincoln Chafee. Democrat.

#3 worst Illinois. Governor Pat Quinn. Democrat.

#2 worst New Mexico. Governor Susana Martinez. Republican.

and #1 worst run state is.... California. Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. Democrat.


It's just funny coming from msn. If I had quoted the same thing from foxnews, it would be attacked here and ignored. Of course this will be ignored anyway...

It all depends on what their definition is. They should probably include other things like education, crime, traffic safety, traffic congestion, bureaucratic efficiency for doing business, some quality of life metric other than standard of living, etc

BTW I hate these "10 lists of" web articles that make you look at 10 pages, at least some do provide a link to view all pages... ie Business Insider. I skip the slideshow pages, just too annoying.

Can you imagine what kind of hell hole California would be if it had the physical features and weather of N. Dakota?
