"Let's go by industry:
Insurance - ACA mandates that we buy something that we don't necessarily want nor need, insurance companies mandated to provide coverage that will hurt them financially.
Health Care/Medical- Catholic sponsored hospitals mandated to provide services that they are against religiously. ACA is the first step toward a single payer system which would marry the health insurance industry with the medical industry.....At some point, no longer fascistic, but socialistic.
Automobile - Federal government fires auto company exec, defies the rule of law WRT bond and shareholder priority. Becomes owner of one auto manufacturer.
Energy - Federal government funding class of energy providers whose solution is never the most economically viable and is often a scam. Declares war on coal and oil.
Restaurant/Fast food - NYC salt and soft drink restrictions. Healthy menu mandates.
Household - Can you say "incandescent light bulbs"
Banking - Fair lending act.....the real root of the 2008 crash. Force financial institutions to loan to unqualified borrowers and the financial institution will come up with creative ways to offset the situation. I don't see how fannie or freddie can be seen as anything but economically fascistic.
Others????
When I hear the words "crony capitalism" I think "fascism", not capitalism.
And since we didn't learn anything from the last bubble, just google and ask for govt home loans and you will find any number of loans that are available regardless of credit. We the taxpayer will just pick up the bill when the next bust shows up.
So good to be back. Been visiting with other family and didn't have access to a computer. But thought about all of you and what I was missing.
