A little while ago the Ukranian government made a move to retreat into the Russian sphere of influence, in return Russia paid off some debts. The people were not amused, they wanted to be linked up to western Europe. So they have been protesting hard this week, demanding changes.
Could be quite interesting if Putin has to deploy Russian troops to prop up his puppet regime while hosting Sochi net door.
