I think if the problem that happened in 2011, happened here, there would have been some shots fired and or more people arrested.
This part reads strange. Seems the authorities should have been armed with more than just a search warrant?
"his family refused at gunpoint to let authorities armed with a search warrant onto their 3,600-acre property"
What a surprise. I think the USFS has been at it for years. When visiting/staying with my niece, there are small aircraft flying over all the time on private property and national forest. Thought to be looking for smokes but I think more than that going on as low as they are flying. So drones will be able to do it with more stealth if they aren't already.
Talked to one party who lives in the Bailey area with a large chunk of land about this issue and he said he isn't going to cut any of his trees for wildfire mitigation, let them all overgrow as it provides cover and keeps out nosy drones/planes who have no business interfering with his peace and tranquility.
There is a marked difference in using domestic drones for fire control (I mean flames), cattle and elk surveillance, and traffic monitoring........using a drone to violate constitutional guarantees. It is basically unlawful under the constitution.....Gran keep focused. Do not surrender your rights so easily.
Yes it does.....spin here will not work......snooping with a drone certainly should be so specified in the warrant and ......that way the judge is accountable on appeal. BTW why did not the sheriff just search the property...3500 acres is actually small. Hummmm you really like these drones ??
Not to divert, but if SCOTUS declares the info gained by NSA is unconstitutional and that info was passed to local law enforcement and used to prosecute citizens.....the cases will be tossed and sentences reversed......this is why the feds are in CYA mode......turmoil in the local courts.
No, I don't like drones...... But my impression was that they tried to search the property but we're meet with armed (?) resistance. Like I posted earlier, I prefer the use of a drone to search the property than a shootout to gain access to the property possibly causing injury to law enforcement or the family. If there is a warrant to search, the means by which that search is accomplished shouldn't be the issue.
The point I was making amid all the conspiracy and 1984 references is that I have yet to see any documented use of drones to spy on American citizens without a valid warrant. Doesn't mean it never happened, but I'm not about to cry foul without some proof.

Well we've already been lied to about the NSA and Obamacare so I don't think many would be surprised when we find out we're being spied on by drones or satelites. The government loves to have as much control over us as possible to keep us all in line... some are happy with that, others like me will never trust again.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
OLD adage in corp america.......it's better to beg forgiveness than ask for permission.....THAT
is how government operates also....I'm some what taken back by Archer's response....TRUST
is NOT something I would give the government...JMO
