The Bedford Incident was just a movie.

This wasn't. I doubt they have forgotten.

It will be interesting to see how the Iranians pull this off, the maximum range of their ships and replenishment will present some challenges. Aside from being able to reach the maritime boundaries of the United States in the Atlantic, what point are they trying to make? Saber rattling at best. Given our current administration's relatively friendly position toward Iran I can't help but wonder what would be done if any hostile acts are attempted or accomplished. It's not a matter of capability, sending a few Iranian ships to the bottom of the Atlantic would hardly be a challenge for the US Navy.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

We will probably never know but my crystal ball says satellite, high altitude aviation, surface ship over the horizon and a SSN sniffing their butt the whole way.

Replied by Rick on topic Iran sends Navy our direction
I see our strong foreign policy in the ME is paying off...

Meanwhile Iran just tested two long range missiles today (for nuclear "energy" research).

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Not unexpected but it seems like the Iranians are laying it on a bit thick:

Iranian Navy Commander Threatens to Sink US Fifth Fleet after Warship Deployment

http://d.ibtimes.co.uk/en/full/1361961/iran-warships-us.jpg?w=500&h=301&l=50&t=40

"The Americans can sense by all means how their warships will be sunk with 5,000 crews and forces in combat against Iran and how they should find its hulk in the depths of the sea," Fadavi told the country's quasi-official Fars news agency.

"They cannot hide themselves in the sea since the entire Middle East region, western Europe, the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman and the Straits of Hormuz are monitored by us and there is no place for them to hide."

Has Napoleon been reincarnated several times over as Iranian military officers and government officials?!
