NPR was reporting the charges are already under appeal.
Never let a crisis go to waste? If all that money was flowing into rebuild Crescent City, it would only be right to get some of that flithy lucre for yourself, right?

Good riddance to yet another corrupt politician. Don't care what letter's behind their name, they commit crimes, they deserve to be in jail.
