Bill Nye gets a surprise endorsement

I'm sure you all know that a couple of weeks ago saw Bill Nye, the science guy, debated Answers in Genesis' Ken Ham.

Surprisingly, Bill got an endorsement from Pat Robertson!

"There ain't no way....." says Robertson.

Ham's reply was that Robertson is "misinformed and deceived."

Robertson points out that Ham's view is based upon the comparatively obscure "Ussher" Chronology. (Ussher assumes that every person from every generation was documented in the Bible - and that years - at least as noted in the Bible are always "years" --- a theory the conservative Robertson dismisses).

I never in my life expected to think for even a moment that Pat Robertson was the sensible side of Christian thought....... maybe we should write it all off as old age, or something.

Don't for a minute think that because Pat Robertson accidentally said something intelligent on one day in his miserable life that it is some sort of "trend." This is the guy that still predicts hurricanes by the fact that they are still having "Gay Pride Day" at Disneyworld.
