Obama Administration To Agree To Loan Guarantees For Nuclear

Power, per Forbes.com
Loan guarantees of 6.5 billion are going to be approved to build a nuke power plant in Georgia. Normally I support increased nuclear energy production, but right now it is looking to be much more expensive than building natural gas power plants which aren't as closely regulated and don't need the same levels of security, but it might make sense since natural gas prices are much more volatile than nuclear fuel.
I do want to give some credit to the Obama administration for approving this. If we are to get away from polluting coal, nuclear energy makes much more sense than the unreliable wind and solar sources.
