Nah, domineering was my word. Doesn't make it PC.

Any big budget advertisers out there. I can make an add that will get you noticed and identified for half the price.

Got to see the PSA last night, yes, they already have an ad with losts of celebrities like Beyonce and Jane Lynch. Sasha Fierce even says "You can't call me bossy, but you can call me boss."

Oh, Pine......Those were the Good Old Days when people actually had a sense of humor and didn't think too much of themselves instead of constantly seeking for a reason to be offended and embracing victimization.

otisptoadwater wrote: I caught some radio program on this topic today, apparently the idea of avoiding the word bossy has to do with a liberal notion that not calling young girls and young women bossy will preserve their self esteem and ensure that they can secure leadership positions. More politically correct fodder for the masses, heaven forbid anyone be called out for their behavior when they step out of line; "...I'm not the person at fault, it's those mean people that are out to hurt my feelings and damage my self esteem..."

If "bossy" means acting like a boss, then when those young girls and young women grow up and get into leadership positions they will, by definition of their job, need to act "bossy". But if nobody pointed out to them early on what is "bossy" and what's not, they will have no idea how to act.

So by avoiding the term "bossy" we have set them up for failure in future leadership positions.
