A little blurb on the Denver Post editorial page this morning. The Feds are going to no longer fund the Dem and GOP conventions. As a third party supporter, I think this is great news.
Plus as pointed out in the piece, when was the last time the convention actually elected someone, the 1970's? Usually by the time of the convention, the canididate has already been picked and it winds up just being a big bash for the party faithful.
I suppose there will be those who think this will just inspire more corporate influence, but I think that is already too late.
