Changing Colorado's Recall Rules?

19 Mar 2014 07:10 #1 by FredHayek
The Denver Post had an article this week about modifying the current recall rules. The Dem dominated legislature thinks the old recall rules need to be updated to make the elections more inclusive.
Do you agree? Should it remain a quick campaign and voters would have to vote in person? Or should we allow time for all the facts to surface and include mail-in ballots so that more people can vote?

Really Fred, you are ok with denying those military deployed out of the country defending your rights under threat of their life the same right to vote for their representatives? For shame!

I wasn't advocating anything, I was just asking for other peoples opinions.
But now that you bring it up Dog, do you think Americans in the military stationed overseas would like to keep anti-2nd Amendment politicians as representatives? Based on past elections, the votes of active duty military were more likely to be counted in Red States.

It does make sense to modify/update election laws created before people were allowed to use mail-in ballots and register only minutes before casting votes.

Since there no anti-2nd Amendment politicians involved in the elections, I don't know. It is quite likely that those in the military who are highly trained on firearms would back reasonable and common sense legislation to minimize access to firearms by those who should not have them.

I do know this, that those military deployed out of state should have the right to vote for their representatives despite the attempt by Republicans to deny them of that right.
