Then stick around. I've left this board. Make it a one-for-one trade. You for me. Maybe you can help the left get an edge here. Let me make some suggestions on how you can get the upper hand around here.

1) Accuse a conservative of being a racist or a neo-nazi

2) Call them a hater over and over, especially if they have an opinion that is different than yours.

3) Develop a hit list. Find out who voted for what, or tease out your own opinion of one of the conservatives here and then make sure you send emails to their employer. Get them fired.

4) Continue to take your cues from McCarthyism, hell it worked for the conservatives once, why not the progressives.

5) Keep acting like thought-police, even though you have no power to read anyone's mind. But it's a good tactic to develop fear in the heart of a conservative, or anyone you don't like.

6) Hey, if Harry Reid can go on a daily orgasmic rant about two libertarian brothers like the Koch's and try to demonize them, you can do it on a more localized basis here.

7) Keep up the intolerance. If someone here doesn't think like you, demand that they do, or chase them away with some fascist tactics, that'll teach them for having an opinion.

8) Most important, remember, freedom of speech is only for the left. Lockstep is the order for the day and SC doesn't need all these conservatives around here anyway.

Mary, Yes you did miss my concern, I have expressed it about, and to, VL many times, Check the thread that was on going during the the MMT/CB dispute. This isn't just about one word, this is about posters not thinking about how they represent themselves and this message board to the community, and I guess I'm just now realizing that most don't care,

Do you think threads that start out calling liberals retards will attract new posters? Do you think the constant demeaning of the few liberal posters here will convince others to join this board. I suspect that even some conservatives will find the atmosphere here if not toxic at least unfriendly. Sure this comes from both sides, but the majority is from the right simply because you outnumber us at least 5 to 1, and lately every thread seems to start with liberal baiting or bashing. I stay because I can handle it and often find it amusing, but I know, for a fact, that many others have read here for a bit and decided this was no place to be if you are left leaning. Which is sad, because these are good, intelligent, and interesting posters who would add a lot to this web community.

Archer, I agree with you. However, these words mean little coming from someone who is always ready to defend someone like LJ. Personally, I feel life is far too short to deal with someone who has that much anger and hatred towards others, which is why I've had her on ignore for a year or two now. I respect you when you contribute meaningful thoughts to these boards and we've agreed on several issues. But, honestly, how can you be angry with others when you defend the nasty diatribe that spews from LJ on an almost daily basis?

My apologies, I try to stay away from the ring since that seems to be where VL crap always ends up. I refuse to interact with him. I am a firm believer in "Don't feed the trolls".

Omni, I can find equally egregious posts from a few right wing posters, and they are both defended and agreed with by others on the right. I only recall RR actually pointing out some rather dubious posts from the right, but then RR trends to be a switch winger .
