Totally anecdotal, but today was our healthcare insurance meeting at work. Rates are increasing per employee from 20% to 50% depending on if your family is on your plan. Despite the company picking up 75% for individuals and 65% for families.
It does look like more preventive medicine will be covered and they do have some high deductible plans available for the Colorado site so it might wash out in the end. There also appears to be more opportunities to use pre-tax earnings to pay medical expenses.
Good thing the company is giving out 3% raises this year. Even with the raises, I think people are going to be working more overtime just to pay for insurance cost increases.
