Alabama Dem that Bet $100K a “Bunch of Whites” Hasn’t Adopted Black Babies Refuses to Pay Up
Well, Alabama’s Crazy ‘Uncle Al’ is at is at it again.
Democratic Congressman Alvin Holmes, who recently suggested Republicans wouldn’t oppose abortion if their daughter got pregnant by a black man and called Supreme Court Justice Clarance Thomas an Uncle Tom because he’s married to a white woman has made more racially-charged statements that would have any white representative thrown under the jail.
Only this time it could cost him $100,000 if he is willing to put his money where his mouth is.
During a legislative session discussion on abortion rights, Holmes offered to pay $100,000 cash to anyone who could show him a “bunch of whites” who have adopted black children in Alabama.
Holmes’s comments sparked the formation of a group called Faces of Families in Alabama, who immediately were able to disprove Holmes’ theory by showing Alabama’s families are not as racially divided as he believes.
