Abortion Protection Bill Fails In The Colorado Senate

Despite a one vote majority in the Colorado Senate, they tabled a measure that would have protected abortion rights. I am a little surprised to see this, who knows if the Colorado statehouse will remain with Democrat majorities after the November election. Time to get this passed while the iron is hot. The only explanation I can see is that Dems didn't want to go on record as supporting this bill before an election. Or maybe there are some anti-abortion Democrats in the Senate that won't support the bill.
I know socially conservative Republicans and Catholic bishops across America on my Twitter feed are very happy to see the bill fail.
