IF female doctors are NOT taking as many Medicare patients and MALE doctors are...does that
mean the male is more willing to "wade thru the Medicare Maze" and profit from their ability to

I can't speak for all males but for the most part no I don't think males are greedy per se.
There are a few factors that the article didn't mention. Perhaps there may be more male doctors and that may skew the results of the study. I didn't see any metrics of this in the study so that is purely my opinion. It is also my opinion that maybe more patients feel more comfortable with a male doctor than a female doctor as well. Maybe the male doctors have more experience dealing with the system in general and know what will be covered etc.
I think there are too many questions that still need to be answered before we can see the whole picture.
