"More than 44,000 home-based caregivers no longer are part of the SEIU Healthcare Michigan, according to federal reports filed by the union.

The workers previously were forced to pay dues or fees to the SEIU after the union orchestrated a scheme that took money from the Medicaid checks of the people the workers were caring for in homes across the state. The "dues skim" ended in 2013, but not before the SEIU took more than $34 million from the elderly and disabled across the state. "...

:sarcasm: How dare you post this on International Workers Day! You should be out in the streets with your union brothers and sisters demonstrating because the man is screwing union members and workers around the world! Have you no shame, no sense of fairness, no understanding of employers owing workers a living wage?! Honestly Bob, if you keep this kind of behavior up and you might get "disappeared," one of these will pull up in front of your abode and you'll never be heard from again:

But don't dispair, I'm sure that you'll receive an excellent and complete re-education in the FEMA camp. Besides, you'll get free clothing, food, healthcare, and other stuff in exchange for your "stuff" that you probably didn't "build yourself" or really earn on your own. The poor might even thank you for your stuff... Nah, who am I kidding?

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Wow. Isn't there a new law in Colorado that applies an extra penalty to those who rob the elderly this year? They should do the same to those Michigan thieves.

Maybe, maybe not. An interesting point from a different discussion. It has been so long since I have read either I get the jist not the substance.

"Remember, in "1984" nobody cared about what the proles thought or said. Nobody monitored proles. And that was 90% of the population.

So I don't thinks anyone particular care what I say or think. Unless I miraculously find myself in a position of affecting policy. Then the hammer would come down on my head.

I think "Brave new World" got how the proles would live better than "1984" did. The population need not to notice the boot in their face for the system to work."
