Denver Post: Denver Wants CSO To Stop BYO Pot Concerts

The city of Denver wants the CSO to not put on their pot concerts. The public consumption of MJ is still illegal. The orchestra planned to have special smoking sections away from the audience but it would still be public.

Now let's see if the folks in Denver can find their spine and impose the same restrictions on the 420 gathering in Civic Center Park in 2015. The permits issued by the City and County of Denver state quite clearly that federal law must be complied with while using the property, and it is as obvious as the nose on Jimmy Durante's face was that the attendees at the 420 gatherings have no intention of doing so. That, and that alone, gives them a firm basis upon which to refuse to issue a permit for the rally next year.

CSO has cancelled the public shows. Sounds like they plan to do a invitation only concert now.

Hardly...

Since use of MJ is hardly confined to "liberals", I should think it will upset as many conservatives as liberals. Use of recreational MJ is hardly a lib-vs-con thing at all...

But since we have to make everything a lib-vs-con debate, you should continue with that thought...
