"NEW YORK - The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) released 36,007 convicted criminal aliens last year who were awaiting the outcome of deportation proceedings, according to a report issued Monday by the Center for Immigration Studies.

The group of released criminals includes those convicted of homicide, sexual assault, kidnapping and aggravated assault, according to the report, which cites a document prepared by the ICE.

A majority of the releases were not required by law and were discretionary, the organization says.

According to the report, the 36,007 individuals released represented nearly 88,000 convictions, including:

Glad to hear it. Could the democratic party have left you?

Consider this: "PREAMBLE

As Libertarians, we seek a world of liberty; a world in which all individuals are sovereign over their own lives and no one is forced to sacrifice his or her values for the benefit of others.

We believe that respect for individual rights is the essential precondition for a free and prosperous world, that force and fraud must be banished from human relationships, and that only through freedom can peace and prosperity be realized.

Consequently, we defend each person's right to engage in any activity that is peaceful and honest, and welcome the diversity that freedom brings. The world we seek to build is one where individuals are free to follow their own dreams in their own ways, without interference from government or any authoritarian power."...

We're not evolved enough to self-regulate on an individual level without trampling the "dreams" and rights of others. This is as utopian as socialism: sounds great in theory, bad in practice with as f***ed up, selfish little dicks that we are - "force and fraud" in relationships is far too prevalent. I like the way you hope for better though, we'll get along just fine!

Yes, but at the end of the day you have to lay your money down and place your bets.

The left has had quite a bit of power in this country for a while. Are you happy with the results?

Consider the economics of the issue, are you prepared to pay $8.00 for a head of lettuce? What about the "living wage" movement? Everything that used to cost a few bucks just got more expensive and potentially put low wage earners out of work because automation may take the place of the minimum wage worker. Stack on rising energy prices and suddenly commerce is in crisis; no one has enough cash to buy what they used to buy because the prices are leaping and less people are employed.

It's ok tho, Barry and his administration will collect everyone's wealth and redistribute it so everyone will be equally poor (well, except for the elite core of politicians, those folks get extra 'cause they make the rules...).

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

All I have to do is look at the people who call themselves "libertarian"...(particularly around here)...to know that it will be a cold day in he11 before I ever vote for one, or make that switch. I've seen enough Randroid sociopathy to guarantee that will never happen.

So you are OK with the administration of Barack Obama putting dangerous criminals on the street?

For releasing dangerous criminals into the American population, shouldn't we be allowed to sue the federal government?

Are they trying to create a domestic version of Fast and Furious? Release and arm illegal aliens?
