It’s monstrous, and not surprising. We’ve now seen this heinous disregard for the individual at every level of the federal government. Whether it’s spying on Americans, using the Internal Revenue Service to punish political opponents, abandoning diplomats to terrorists, delivering guns into the bloody paws of Mexican drug cartels, or trying to destroy the private health care system in America, there is a dangerous disconnection with normal decision-making and contempt for the basic rights of human beings.
We shouldn’t be surprised that the almost sociopathic attitude on display everyday by the Obama administration is infecting the federal system as a whole.
Strangely, if we turn from veterans to traitors, however, we learn just how much the bureaucracy can make happen in the name of health care.
Politico reports the Pentagon has approved convicted traitor Bradley Manning for transfer from prison at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., to a civilian prison so he can receive “gender treatment.” Manning, convicted of sending classified documents to WikiLeaks, has changed his name to “Chelsea,” wants hormone therapy and other medical treatment so he can realize his true self.
America is on the wrong track but the majority don't seem to care.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Unfortunately, our veterans have suffered a long history of poor care after returning from service, especially if injured. To blame this solely on Obama is to wear partisan blinders and won't solve anything because you're complaining about the wrong problem. These men and women need more respect and better care from ALL of our politicians. Or better yet, maybe they should stop sending them to useless wars.

Obama happens to be in the drivers seat right now so he is entitled to the blame. That is how politics works unless you are democrat.
Still, in the larger picture you are correct. VA incompetence and inefficiency has been an issue as long as I can remember regardless of the Presidents political party.
Agreed, the VA has never been perfect since it's inception. Right now there are issues that need to be addressed that are directly attributable to the current administration and the current administration needs to be held accountable for their actions.
No pass for Barry on this one, he and his administration have to be held accountable for the deaths that occurred on his watch.
Back to the point of the post - traitors should be tried, if convicted they shall be hung by the neck until dead, and then the body of each and every one of them shall be publicly displayed to serve as an example to all of what happens to traitors. I'm in agreement with the Gubment on his gender reassignment to a point. Manning should forfeit his "wedding tackle" but I think he/she/it should be left to bleed out and then hung by the neck until already dead and then hung by the neck again just to make a point. Of course some narrow minded federal appeals judge will disagree with me...

Hey, you won't get an argument from me that there are issues and people need to be held accountable. I just hope I see you as passionate the next time an R is in charge and it's still as f***ed up 'cause I ain't holdin my breath that it'll be taken care of anytime soon. Those who serve are like poor folk to politicians - good only for votes and camera ops come election time, and an excuse to dish pathetic, useless rhetoric and ask for money for pet projects that don't really help those who deserve it the rest of the time. And we'll probably disagree that it's the R's that are worse at caring for those in need, but that's the way I see it.

Can we get back on topic? Why is a convicted traitor allowed medical procedures beyond basic medical care? He/she/it received a fair trial and was convicted and now should be DEAD! Accommodating this scumbag's wants and desires is beyond what he/she/it is entitled to as a convict.
Worse, putting he/she/its gender reassignment as a priority over veterans who honorably served and are now asking for the medical care they were guaranteed when they enlisted or accepted a commission is inexcusable.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Not surprised. Ask your self this. Who has gained traction, the occupy movement on the left or the tea party movement on the right?
