So says the SCOTUS. Too bad they didn't go further in limiting the power of 0, and future Presidents.

What a concept, letting the Senate decide their own rules, instead of the executive branch.

Given that all 9 of the justices, even the two that Obama nominated, agreed that his actions violated the Constitution; and given that this president has been quite vocal about his being a constitutional scholar, is it thus reasonable to say that this president knew he was violating his oath of office with his actions? I mean, not a single judge anywhere along the way upheld the president's behavior in this matter. Every single one of them slapped his hand (not sure if it's the one with the phone or the one with the pen) on this issue.

Replied by LOL on topic Obama Violated the Constitution
"...ruling decisively that President Obama violated the Constitution..."

So why bother with the swearing the Oath of Office anymore, what a waste of time.

Next time I "violate" the speed limit or a stop sign, or an Obamacare BS penalty fine tax whatever, I'll just say ...Hey the Pres does it all the time with no consequences. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Per Hugh Hewitt: Obama's DOJ has been losing a lot of these cases 9-0. Is his DOJ very bad at defending his over reaches? Or do even the liberal members of the Supreme Court know Obama is operating well outside the law? You would think one token liberal would write a minority opinion.

"Did you know the Obama administration’s position has been defeated in at least 13 – thirteen — cases before the Supreme Court since January 2012 that were unanimous decisions? It continued its abysmal record before the Supreme Court today with the announcement of two unanimous opinions against arguments the administration had supported. First, the Court rejected the administration’s power grab on recess appointments by making clear it could not decide when the Senate was in recess. Then it unanimously tossed out a law establishing abortion-clinic “buffer zones” against pro-life protests that the Obama administration argued on behalf of before the Court (though the case was led by Massachusetts attorney general Martha Coakley).

The tenure of both President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder has been marked by a dangerous push to legitimize a vast expansion of the power of the federal government that endangers the liberty and freedom of Americans. They have taken such extreme position on key issues that the Court has uncharacteristically slapped them down time and time again. Historically, the Justice Department has won about 70 percent of its cases before the high court. But in each of the last three terms, the Court has ruled against the administration a majority of the time."

The most disturbing, and indeed, scary thing about this is that there are no consequnces for violating the constitution. This transcends political beliefs. I don't want any President, regardless of party, violating the governing foundations of this country.
