Democratic Senate Candidate Drops Out Of Kansas Race

Not because of some scandal, because he had no chance to win. Kansas hasn't elected a Dem senator since 1932! But an independent and Libertarian are still running against the Republican favorite. The Dem Party thinks if they start to support the independent, they have a better chance of winning. And with the Senate possibly going Republican this year, an independent is better than another Republican.

Looks like Orman Independent ahead in the polls. Think he will pull it off w/o a Dem in the mix? Roberts has been a fixture since forever.

Bad news for the independent in the race, the Dem who withdrew will be forced to remain on the ballot, that should siphon off some know-nothing lefty votes. Will the DNC spend money on ads telling people to not vote for the Democrat party choice? :chatter:
