As will a Republican win? Looking at it from that perspective, there are some who predict an entirely new level of obstructionism in which Republicans will then be able to blame Obama in the 2016 presidential election for not getting anything done in the next two years thereby causing Democrats to jump ship on Obama's policy efforts and not fully supporting whomever runs for President from the Democratic Party. Supposedly America doesn't care - on that we can agree. Whether one looks at it from a Democratic loss or a Republican win will have more to do with what happens in the next two years than anything. What if the Democrats retain control in the Senate? What if the Democrats increase their numbers in the House? Could happen, right?

ZHawke wrote: OK. My point was with regard to the "liberal" media reference in the OP. Truth is, that, too, is a matter of individual perception. With six corporations "controlling" approximately 90% of what is regurgitated to the American public, it's a little difficult for me to accept the allegation/assertion there is exclusively a "liberal" mainstream media bias.

No one alleges an exclusive bias, just a predominant one.

That any rational person recognizes that a bias exists doesn't make that bias exclusive in nature. That a predominant bias in the media exists is not at all in question, is it? When one can demonstrate that, as a group, those in the media regularly and consistently over a significant period of time vote in favor of Democrats by a significantly larger margin than the population as a whole does; when one can demonstrate that, as a group, those in the media regularly and consistently over a long period of time donate to Democrats by a margin that is also significantly greater than the population at large does; would anyone capable of reason think to argue that there is not a predominant bias among that group?

What an incredibly great non-answer that is.

Fine then, we'll dispense with your nonsense this way. For your assertion to be correct, that an exclusive bias exists, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity et al would have to exhibit the bias. Since this is obviously not the case, you allegation that conservatives believe the bias to be an exclusive one clearly is faulty.

Feel better now?

What? Are you actually expecting me to buy into your assertion that Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity et al don't exhibit a tendency to label mainstream media as being "liberal"?
