"If you’ve spent any time at all paying attention to the mainstream, or what is often called the “liberal” media, you might be under the impression that the country is turning on President Obama — that his approval rating has never been lower. The only problem with that meme is that it’s simply not true."...
Wendy Gittelson and her Obamabots march on, oblivious to the truth...
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

I'll tell you what, PrintSmith, I'll answer your question after you've taken a stab at answering the previous question regarding what "truth" is it exactly. OK?
OK. My guess, and that's all it is because I'm no more capable of reading otis' mind than yours, is that he was speaking of how the people view Obama versus Obama's "official" approval numbers.

Your turn.
OK. My point was with regard to the "liberal" media reference in the OP. Truth is, that, too, is a matter of individual perception. With six corporations "controlling" approximately 90% of what is regurgitated to the American public, it's a little difficult for me to accept the allegation/assertion there is exclusively a "liberal" mainstream media bias.
Do you really think that all media corporations are conservative and Republican? And do you think these CEO's decide what stories make it on? I think they are more concerned about the ratings than the content.
Wouldn't there be more Fox News out there if they were more concerned about the message than the bottom line?
I do believe the corporate execs do try to steer stories away from attacking big corporations because those organizations tend to have lots of lawyers and like to sue. Watch 60 Minutes, they tend to go after the little guy.
Saw an interesting movie this weekend, "Nightcrawler", the film was about the guys who cover the accidents and crimes that happen overnight, "if it bleeds, it leads.". You are more likely to see that than debates about fiscal policy.

It is interesting to see how little attention the "main-stream" media is devoting to the upcoming election. ABC won't even cover it tomorrow night on the network, only on-line. Supposedly America doesn't care, but you have to think a Democrat loss will change the nation for the next couple years.
