In other words, you're off topic.

Explain where you found Christ's written tenants. Also explain why the Pope was brought into the discussion then, unless you imply he has direct contact with Christ.

Z, you chose the title of the thread. If this is meant to be a pile on PrintSmith private thread, please state that. If you give Dog a "well said", then my questions are valid.

You might want to take a good look at who actually started the thread.

You are right, it was RevRelevant, now move on to the questions.

The questions haven't changed, have they? If not, they are still off topic.

And, for the record, this is not a thread to "pile on" P. He and I both agreed we would share "beliefs" in this thread. That's where it's been going. That's where I'd like to see it continue. If you don't agree, that's certainly your prerogative, but I won't play that game.

As you can see from the link that was provided, those particular remarks were from the leader of the largest christian sect, expressing the position of the Catholic church in regard to the duties set forth by Christ.

"Remember to always be yourself. Unless you can be batman. Then always be batman." Unknown

Rick wrote: I don't know much about the bible or this pope... are these words a translation from scripture or are these words the opinion of the pope?

In this instance, Evangeli Gaudium, it is the opinion of the Pontiff, a conclusion he has reached after consideration of the recommendations of the Synod of Bishops. The means of communication was an Apostolic Exhortation, which doesn't carry the weight of, say, an Encyclical, but is more important than what the Pontiff might say during a Homily.

Clear as mud? ;)
