The released convicts were guilty of non-violent drug offenses. Good start or bad idea?
Personally I think we should release more non-violent criminals busted for victimless crimes.

Only time will tell, but many of the long sentences for nonviolent drug charges, seem to do little to deter drug use and sales. We need more space for violent criminals and building new prisons is too costly and time consuming. With out the crystal ball it seems like a good move.

He is the President. Changing laws is the job of Congress, not the President. Talk to your Republican congressional leaders.
