Transparency? We don't need no steenkin' transparency!

Read pages 25-26 of this bill . The house just said it doesn't have to do a standard cost analysis to report out the cost to US taxpayers for repealing or reforming the Affordable Care Act. They're going to repeal it, damn the costs. It may cost more to scrap it and than to fix it, or it might cost more to fix it so it's worth finding a replacement, but we're not going to let The People know, we'll just decide for you. :angry:

LIMITATION.—This subsection shall not apply to any bill or joint resolution, or amendment thereto or conference report thereon— (A) repealing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and title I and subtitle B of title II of the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010;
(B ) reforming the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Affordability Reconciliation Act of 2010

Looks like some might be having second thoughts after realizing how badly this could end for them . So if the Congress critters refuse to go along with this, realizing it's political suicide, how much of a landslide will the Dems get in 2 years after those who voted for change gave the Reps a majority in 2 of the 3 branches of government and things get worse or don't change? :) Trump can't force the members of Congress to pass what he claimed he was going to do during his campaign.

Regardless, when Congress changes things to eliminate transparency, it should worry all Americans. And this is on the heels of the GOP trying to essentially eliminate the Office of Congressional Ethics (make it so powerless that it's useless), the independent panel that investigated ethics violations by Congress critters (it got quietly removed after thousands of people started calling their representatives).

Please recognize that the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act ( Obamacare) was passed by a Democrat Legislative without any concern as to the cost. In the parphrased words of Nancy Pelosi "We have to pass this legislation in order to find out what is in it."

And if that was an underhanded, wrong way to go about passing legislation, then why is this any better or acceptable? Would you be okay with them repealing ACA, implementing something new, then finding out that the new legislation isn't any more effective than the ACA or that it costs more? As a business, would you undertake something completely new without doing your research and due diligence making sure you estimated the costs before you started?

Rand Paul claims that he will be introducing a plan that "Trump fully supports". I'd like to see those details before deciding if it'll be better or not, and I'd certainly like my representatives being smart budgeting before dumping something outright.

I'll hold my judgement about transparency until he's actually sworn in and does something. But this thread is hilarious considering we are about the finally end the LEAST transparent administration in my lifetime.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

I agree - this is likely to be hilarious. I anticipate many chuckles as Trumpkins turn themselves into pretzels over the next few months.

Enjoyed Jeff Sessions saying that he would recuse himself from Clinton potential charges as opposed to L. Lynch who preferred to defer to the FBI.
