Tina Francone has been appointed as the new district three commissioner. She will be sworn into office on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 3 p.m. in Hearing Room One, which is located on the first floor of the Administration and Courts Facility. Following the ceremony there will be a brief reception.

The Jefferson County Republican vacancy committee chose Francone as Jefferson County’s next commissioner on Friday, Jan. 19. She comes to Jefferson County after serving as the Regional Transportation District (RTD) director. She is taking the place of former commissioner Donald Rosier.

This year a new constitution and by-laws were approved by the membership and a total of nine (9) officer positions are open for election for two year terms. Due to the change in qualifications for candidates and members, all interested parties for officers and those who want to vote in the election must register as members (current board is waving fees for January and February 2018 membership dues).
Membership is open to any person under the age of 36 who resides in and is registered, or preregistered, as a Democrat in Jefferson County, Colorado.

Position: President, Vice President, Finance Coordinator, Communications Director, Secretary, Political Director, Community Affairs Director, College and High School Director, and Event Coordinator. Qualifications: Candidacy for an officer position is open to any Democrat who, within a period of six months, is a fully registered Democrat and is an active member of JYD.
All Candidates must be current, eligible JYD members at the time of the election to submit a letter of intent so here is a membership form for your convenience

Letters of intent open January 22nd, 2018

Election Information and Game Night, January 31st (Get the run down on the positions, what’s different in the Constitution and what happening with the By-laws)

Letters of intent are due February 17th, 2018

JYD membership applications close 1:00 pm February 25th, 2018
Membership will reopen on February 27th, 2018 under the new Board.

Evergreen Park & Recreation District's 2018 Board of Directors Election will be held on Tue, May 8, from 7 AM - 7 PM.

The polling locations are Wulf Recreation Center and Buchanan Park Recreation Center.
