The Kneeling NFL Players & You

How many of you would be allowed to start the workday kneeling with signs outside your workplace antagonizing 50% of your customers or more? I know I wouldn't be.

The NBA forbids their players to not stand for the National Anthem.
The Denver Nuggets had a player on the roster a few decades ago, Chris Jackson, was his given name. He converted to Islam and refused to stand for the anthem, He eventually finished his career in Turkey. The league changed their rules after him

The NFL has had declining ratings and players have lost endorsement deals because they have chosen to get political. So the players are actually hurting their own pocketbooks by hiding in the locker room or refusing to stand.

(2018-08-18) — In an agreement worked out late Saturday night, police unions across the United States agreed to stop hunting, shooting and gratuitously detaining and roughing-up black people, while NFL Players Union members agreed to stand respectfully during the national anthem, starting with Sunday’s games.

Police said they “buckled under the tremendous moral pressure brought to bear by pro football players kneeling or raising a fist during the anthem.”

“Until recently, most police officers, regardless of color, felt it was acceptable to shoot black people whether they posed a threat or not,” said a police spokesman. “But then the kneeling ballplayers started a national conversation, and the guys in the precincts got woke, and decided to obey the law…but only if players would respect the anthem.”

The landmark deal brings down the curtain on the most tumultous and tragic epoch in American civil rights history.

With the end so-called blue-on-black violence, protesting NFL players said they’re excited they can stand again, and proudly sing the anthem of the land they love.

Is this from the Onion? Seems like a whole bunch of leftist BS to me.. "Most" police officers felt that shooting non threatening black people was "ok"? Who took this poll and where can I see it?

It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies and nosers−out of unorthodoxy

LOL, you know why so many NFL players don't like the police? Because the police arrest them for beating up their wives, busting them for drunk and drugged driving, for actually charging them with crimes their college and high school coaches would just cover up.

How many of us are expected to participate in a kabuki theater of patriotism at work? None.

There is a clear line of delineation of who supports the player kneeling and those who are against it.

Fred,
Scrappleface.com is a website similar to the Onion in its comical outlook.

Really? So you think kids standing in elementary school for the Pledge of Allegiance are just participating in a Kabuki theater too?

No, I don't think that children in elementary school are the same as NFL players before a game. Would you like to start a new thread about children in elementary school?
