Cory Gardner announced that the Bureau of Land Management is relocating their Headquarters to Grand Junction, CO from Washington, D.C.
Strong bipartisan support from the Colorado delegation and Gov. Polis.

DETAILS to be announced today? The WESTERN SLOPE has long been the forgotten child
in Colorado. NOW maybe we can at least have some parity with the FRONT range.

It will interesting to see how this changes the landscape of politics.....we live in Montrose and Grd. Jct. is already too nutso crowded to be comfortable. BUT, it would be nice to have more flights and destinations added to this area.....driving over to DIA is a bitch, options are limited here.

I hope this is a trend, would love to see more federal departments move out of overpriced and overcrowded DC. In this time of instant communication all over the world, the need for a cluster of government bureaus has long passed. The Midwest or Rust Belt would welcome the job opportunities.
