CONTEMPT for the Constitution....

The Obama’s net worth increased 2000% while in office. That’s a pretty good take from treasury bills. Why do I find that difficult to believe?

Maye you find that difficult to believe because he's not on your side of the aisle?

But really, the topic of this thread is about how Trump thinks the Emoluments clause in the Constitution is "phony." Interesting how you've turned it to Obama.

How much do you suppose Trump has increased his wealth since taking office? Oh, wait, we'll never know because he won't release his tax returns, nor will he show us the actual documents that show he has actually turned over control of his businesses. We do know that business to his resorts and hotels has increased from foreigners hoping to gain favor with the President.

Knowing that he has told 12,000 lies or misleading statements, how can we trust him to not lie about any of this?

I wonder who bought all those books from Obama. If Putin bought one, wouldn’t that violate the emoluments clause?

LOL, deflecting by ignoring the info I provided to complain about the source (without acknowledging that Fahrenthold's is right there in the Tweet), all of it contradicting your claims, doesn't make your defense credible in any way.

And Trump's toast. Assuming that Senate Republicans actually care about the law and upholding the Constitution.

Taylor's 15 page opening statement is damning.

I was told Trump wanted quid pro quo deal, Ukraine ambassador reportedly testifies – live

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

I know that ScienceChic referenced this is another post, but it bears repeating the link:

By frequently visiting his properties, President Trump has given the Trump Organization invaluable publicity at taxpayer expense and provided his paying customers an exclusive perk: access to the president and the 261 other top administration officials who have made appearances there. Far from trying to curb this activity, President Trump’s political allies in Congress have embraced it by frequently attending events or holding fundraisers that personally enrich the president. Similarly, foreign governments and special interest groups frequently act on the reality that spending money at Trump’s properties ingratiates them with the administration and provides them the chance to speak with powerful lawmakers and administration officials.
