Evidently President Macron does not laugh at the U.S.
French president Emmanuel Macron said on Twitter this week that he’d had a “great discussion” with President Donald Trump about the tax. “We will work together on a good agreement to avoid tariff escalation,” Macron wrote. The Wall Street Journal reported that France had agreed to postpone the tax until the end of 2020 while the US postpones the tariffs. theverge.com 1/29/2020

The laughter does not appear to extend to their economy.

Exactly and he found enough quotes that back up his opinion.
I can talk to people I know overseas who love President Trump. They like that he is tough on Iran instead of handing them pallets of cash. The world is a huge place with billions of opinions. Don't fall for this journalism tactic of pretending twenty people represents more than twenty people.

Here's how the world sees the US, according to leftist "journalists" across the globe... please, how do these people know what's going on in the minds of the collective world?

American "journalists" don't know what's going on in the minds of Americans, if they did they wouldn't have been pushing bullshit investigations that nobody but the TDS crowd cared about. Whenever I hear somebody saying they know what "the world" is thinking, I instantly put them in the same category as people who think they can predict the future with astrology.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Great point. American pundits three years ago were convinced that Hillary Clinton would destroy Trump. Sometimes you have a theory and then you choose to cherry pick only the data that supports your beliefs.
Britiain broke away from the EU in January. Once again, the press and government thought the vote would keep the UK in the union, but it didn't So these pundits aren't always so smart about gauging public sentiment. Maybe they spend too much time talking with Birkenstock wearing chai tea drinkers instead of Joe Sixpack?

Brexit is a great point. What does the world think about a a prosperous country breaking free of massive government control?
