Hogwash! Overblown fears. The world should also realize democracy is fine in America. Dozens of people are openly campaigning to replace President Trump in November.

Mitt Romney is the first Senator in history to vote to remove from office a member of his own party. That means that both the Johnson and Clinton impeachment trials were also highly partisan too. But surprise, democracy went on after all the impeachment trials. Free elections continued, with vast arrays of candidates running from numerous parties.

Step back off the cliff. Trump is not a dictator. A dictator would have had Pelosi jailed or shot after her ripping stunt the other night.

This is how the world views us, Fred. More is the pity. We used to have integrity in the world. Now they see us as bumbling fools, led by a despot.

Remember how Susan Collins said a few days ago that Trump had learned his lesson, and would be more restrained since he has been impeached? Well, golly gee, look what he's doing today. Who would have thought that he would come out and attack? Gosh. I guess that quote by Schiff about heads on pikes was right.

Now Don Jr., and others, are calling for Romney to be thrown out of the Republican party. Hunter Biden is now going to be investigated by the Senate. Retribution? What else will come out in the next months?

TheGuardian.com is the equivalent of the NY Times. Neither have an understanding of the U.S. Constitution. The role of the Senate is to try the case brought forth by the House of Representatives.

In Article I, Section 3, Clause 6 and 7: "The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two-thirds of the Members present. Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honour, Trust or Profit under the United States; but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law."

Not to worry the House while under Pelosi will try for a do-over.
